FRAUD VICTIM - NOT ME!
A Guide To Protecting Your Assets
Fraud is not new, but it seems to be occurring more frequently than ever before. A day does not go by in which we do not hear about some company who admits losing files in an identity theft situation, a corporate executive who misappropriated company assets and defrauded stockholders, or some governmental official who used his or her position for personal gain.
We all have the potential of being a victim of fraud. It may result from the theft of our belongings, the purchase of a product or service that does not live up to its promises, the misuse of our information, or the charging of items to our accounts.
Whether you wish to protect yourself, your family and surroundings, your small business, or if you are part of a larger organization, there are some simple steps that can be taken to prevent becoming a victim.
Mark Dauberman lost a business that he successfully operated for more than a quarter of a century due to the fraudulent acts of a large organization. Since then, he has devoted himself to learning about fraud, identifying the signs that will often be exhibited by perpetrators, and how to avoid being a future victim. He provides training to business owners, managers and supervisors, CPAs, and governmental officials on how to prevent fraud and, when not prevented, how to detect it.
In his energetic and entertaining way, Mark will help you identify:
- When are you at risk
- Who might commit fraud against you
- What you can do to prevent it
